Therapeutic Horsemanship

Mounted or unmounted activities that focus on learning horsemanship skills for better horse-handling and improve riding skills. Benefits can include: the opportunity for individuals to work through unresolved conflicts and emotions; to instill positive thinking and behavior to live a more fulfilling life.

Therapeutic Riding

Therapeutic intervention focused on skill development, facilitated by a qualified instructor. Focused on goal progression.

Hippotherapy

Therapeutic intervention facilitated by credentialed professional. Client is positioned on the horse, and actively responds to the horse’s movement. Used as part of an integrated treatment program to achieve functional outcomes.

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

An emerging field focused on emotional growth and learning through experience, involving a licensed therapist and a horse professional.

Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL)

Learning approach that promotes the development of life skills for educational, professional and personal goals through equine-assisted activities. Working with equines provides opportunities to teach critical life skills such as trust, respect, honesty and communication.

Custom Programs

Each client's experience is tailored to his/her needs based on their needs, wishes, goals and physical/emotional ability.  Sessions are typically 30-minutes. Cost ranges between $45 - $100 with limited pro bono sessions available.
